Be Our Guest Gluten Free Breakfast Review

Starting week 2 of our Disneymoon, I booked us an 8am breakfast at Be Our Guest, which remains my favorite breakfast at Disney. We went left after entering the ticket gate and scanned our bands with the dining reservations check-in cast member. We waited around 10 minutes for them to let us in the park, and then we made our way to the Liberty Square bridge. We stopped for a couple pictures, as it was less crowded than when we got in early for our Cinderella’s Royal Table breakfast.

After checking in at Liberty Square bridge, we made our way to the Beast’s castle. We checked in at the check-in station and then walked across the bridge up to the gates. We were there before the restaurant opened for the day, so we got to hear the cast members sing a little speech before they opened the gates for us. We walked in and went to the kiosks. I was able to choose allergy options from the kiosk and I settled on Feast a la Gaston, which has scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, fruit, and potatoes. It also comes with my favorite: gluten free pastries. I could go on forever about these pastries.

The gluten free pastries they bring consists of banana nut bread, chocolate bread, and lemon pound cake. The lemon pound cake is my favorite. It tastes just like the pound cake my mom used to make before we went gluten free. It’s so moist, it tastes like “normal” bread, and is part of why I love Be Our Guest so much. I could eat just the bread for breakfast. I’ve heard you can ask for a second plate of pastries and they’ll bring it for you, but I have yet to try this.

Feast a la Gaston is really good too. It’s a nice hardy breakfast to prepare you for a long day at the park. The potatoes are my favorite part, but I’m biased: potatoes are my favorite food group.

I love Be Our Guest because of the atmosphere. Even though I’m surrounded by other guests eating, I still feel like I’m in the ballroom from the movie. The snow falling outside really adds to the magic. In early January, there were wreaths and garland hung from the balcony, which was a nice touch.

I felt kinda awkward taking photos of the bathroom signs, so they’re blurry… oh well

After breakfast, I made a quick stop at the ladies’ room and noticed the bathroom signs were princesses and knights. Disney really pays attention to every detail.

We then rushed over to get in line for Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, but were told by the cast member there that none of the lands were open yet. We waited for around 25 minutes as a line began to form behind us from all of the other early morning dining guests. The cast member then led us as a line to the front of the standby line. Hubby and I were the first ones in the standby line that day for Mine Train. From the front of the line we saw the hoards of people come running to get in line from the park entrance.

First in line!

Of course, since we ended up first in line, it had a delayed opening. I listened to the poor cast member answer countless times that she couldn’t “guarantee any specific opening time”, but after about 20 minutes of waiting our wonderful cast member led us as a line through the empty queue and we were on the first train of the day. It was quite a cool experience, and I’m very glad we were able to experience it. Be Our Guest is your best bet for being first in any line since it’s a quick service restaurant and you can eat fairly quickly.

So back to Be Our Guest, I would return just for the gluten free pastries, but breakfast overall is good too. It is definitely the cheapest breakfast dining reservation you can get for Magic Kingdom and gets you in the park early. The theming is fun and the details are incredible, especially since Beauty and the Beast is my favorite princess movie. I would absolutely recommend Be Our Guest for breakfast. (And check it out for dinner too!)
