Frontera Cocina Gluten Free Dinner Review

*I am only gluten intolerant, so cross-contamination does not affect me. Please speak with a chef or manager at the restaurant to ensure you are completely comfortable with what you are eating!*

Frontera Cocina is located in Disney Springs, in the Town Center area of the Springs. Frontera Cocina is right before the bridge to the Landing, across the water from Morimoto Asia.

Frontera Cocina is one of our favorite restaurants at Disney Springs. We ate here the second night of our honeymoon, and have returned a few times since then.

The inside is gorgeous! And there’s outdoor seating out behind the restaurant, right on the water.

Frontera Cocina

Frontera Cocina does not have a gluten free menu, but items that contain gluten and dairy are marked on the menu. Most of the items on the menu are gluten free!

We started with some chips and salsa as an appetizer. This comes with free refills for the chips. The red colored salsa (smoky chipotle) was spicier than the green colored salsa (herby salsa verde). I enjoyed the Herby Salsa Verde more.

Chips and Salsa

For my entree, I ordered the Carnitas. They came with corn tortillas so I could make tacos out of them. It also came with black beans, guacamole, and the same herby salsa verde salsa that the chips came with.

Carnitas

The Carnitas were delicious! The meat was cooked perfectly, and was so tasty. Everything went so well together when I put it all in the corn tortillas to make a taco.

Overall, I love Frontera Cocina. Since items are marked as containing gluten, I don’t have to ask for a special menu and I love their Carnitas. I would really recommend eating at Frontera Cocina (and then getting a gluten free cupcake at Sprinkles next door!).
