Cinderella’s Royal Table Gluten Free Breakfast Review

On our Disneymoon in January, I booked us breakfast at Cinderella’s Royal Table. (For tips on booking hard to get dining reservations, check out this blog post!) We left our hotel around an hour before our reservation, which was at 8:05am, with the park opening at 9am. After going through MK security and ticket gates, we walked to the far left of the train station, where we scanned our bands and were let into a waiting area under the left of the train station for those of us with early dining reservations. After we were told to drink lots of water because it would be hot (in January!), they let us through and into the park.

People always talk about how few people are in the park before opening for dining reservations, and while it’s true, don’t expect an empty Main Street, as there are hundreds of other people that made dining reservations just like you.

We scanned our MagicBands again on the Liberty Square bridge and walked into Fantasyland. We turned right for Cinderella’s Royal Table and checked in at the front desk. We were then led into the waiting area, where we waited for the head princess herself. As we were there before 8am, we had to wait about 10 minutes for her to descend the staircase, and once we got our picture with her, we were directed up the staircase. Our table ended up being a window table, and it seemed like most two top tables were along the window.

I was so busy taking pictures of the scenery, I forgot to take one of the menu, but there were only two gluten free items on the allergy menu:

Traditional Breakfast, with bacon, eggs, sausage, and potatoes

and Beef Tenderloin and Egg, which is what I got. It is a Frittata with Broccolini and blood orange Gastrique.

Our waitress brought me an couple of allergy friendly muffins, and the chocolate one was delicious. The other one had fruit in it and I was not a fan.

Next came our entrees. Mine reminded me a little bit of something out of Lilo and Stitch, with the sauce from the Broccolini covering my plate in lime green.

The tenderloin was good, and whatever cream sauce was under it was good as well. The Broccolini was a little tough and hard to cut, but not too bad. I had a little bit of the potato and cheese Frittata, but remembered how much I don’t like egg after one bite.

As we were eating, the princesses were making their rounds. We were lucky enough to be the third table they stopped at, so not much waiting for us. On rotation that day were Aurora (Sleeping Beauty), Jasmine, Snow White, and Ariel. I already had Aurora and Ariel’s autographs, but I was excited to get Snow White and Jasmine’s. There was a very sweet woman that was willing to take our picture each time, so we got some good shots of us with the princesses, like this one with Aurora.

Aurora asked if I’d been getting good naps in since we last saw each other, and I assured her that I most definitely had. Before we left, our waitress brought us a laminated poster with six of the princesses’ autographs on it, since we were celebrating our honeymoon. They also gave them to kids celebrating birthdays (in addition to a cupcake!).

Overall, I enjoyed Cinderella’s Royal Table for the atmosphere and the experience, but for the food, it was not worth the price. If you have little ones that are obsessed with princesses, I could see justification in booking it, but I will not be back. I fulfilled a bucket list item of eating in the castle, but I don’t think it is an experience worth doing again.
