Gluten Free Zebra Domes - Twirling Down Main Street

Zebra Domes are a dessert at Animal Kingdom Lodge. They are most known for being at Mara, one of the restaurants, but they are also at the gift shops. In Kidani Village, they are located at Johari Treasures in the lobby. There are regular Zebra Domes in the refrigerated case, but if you ask the cast member working, they’ll bring you a package of gluten free Zebra Domes from the back. I thought I’d have to request them one day and then come back the next day to pick them up as with some places, but they had them readily available!

So what are Zebra Domes? The regular ones are a small vanilla cake botton with Amarula Cream Liquor mousse on top and white chocolate encasing it, with a chocolate drizzle on top (the zebra part). For the gluten free ones, instead of the cake being the base, a piece of chocolate is. They are super good, and I highly suggest getting some if you’re at Animal Kingdom Lodge. They’re the perfect little dessert for the end of the day (or breakfast, I won’t judge).
