Nomad Lounge: Animal Kingdom’s Best Kept Secret!
I don’t know about you, but sometimes I just need a little break from the crowds and heat at Animal Kingdom. That’s when I head over to Nomad Lounge. Located next to Tiffins, right before crossing the bridge to Pandora, Nomad Lounge is the lounge associated with the Tiffins restaurant. There is indoor and outdoor seating, I prefer outdoor, it’s right on the water and there are fans to keep you cool.
In addition to being a nice place to take a break, Nomad Lounge has Gluten Free Churros. That’s right, GLUTEN FREE CHURROS! And you don’t even have to ask for them to make them gluten free, that’s the only type of churros they make. I always double check just because I want to make completely sure, but they are gluten free. The churros come with two dipping sauces, Vanilla Crema and Chili-Strawberry. My favorite is the vanilla. Each order of churros comes with five churros. You could probably share the order with another person.
There are also some small bites available such as rice bowls, cheese plates, and tacos. There are some gluten free options available, but I have never tried them.
The drinks at Nomad Lounge are also delicious. My favorite is the Leaping Lizard. It has Malibu Pineapple Rum and Leblon Cachaça with Orange, Passion Fruit, and Mango Juices. It has a nice fruity taste and goes great with the churros. They have a large variety of wine and beer as well.
The drink menu is also super fun, it looks like a scrapbook someone made of their adventures, so it fits right in to the theming of the lounge.
If you want a non-alcoholic drink, there are several available as well. While this lounge is open to children, it generally has more adults than kids, which is rare for a restaurant at a Disney park, so if you’re looking for a more adult place to take a break, definitely check out Nomad Lounge!
