Where to Meet Mickey at Walt Disney World
Looking to meet the boss? There are several locations that you can meet Mickey at Disney World! I’ll cover Dining options, as well as meet and greets at the parks, so you can pick the option that works best for you and your family!
Dining Options
O’hana- Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort (Breakfast only)
At O’hana you can meet Mickey, Lilo, Stitch, and Pluto. Mickey is in his Hawaiian attire here. O’hana has standard breakfast food served family style, so your server will bring you refills of your food if you need. You can eat Mickey and Stitch waffles, bacon, eggs, breakfast potatoes, as well as sweet bread. Gluten free Mickey waffles are also available. O’hana also has the famous POG or Stitch juice, which is equal parts passionfruit juice, orange juice, and guava juice, it’s soooo good!! Mickey, Stitch, and Lilo will come around to your table to meet and sign autographs, and Pluto is waiting at the end of your meal to greet you with a Photopass photographer as you leave. I recommend O’hana because the food is brought to your table, so you don’t have to worry about missing a character like at a buffet. Additionally, the Magic Kingdom facing side has wall to wall windows, so you can get a view of Cinderella Castle from the restaurant!
Chef Mickey’s- Disney’s Contemporary Resort (All Meals)
You can find Mickey, Pluto, Goofy, Minnie, and Donald at Chef Mickey’s for all meals. Here, Mickey and friends are in their chef attire. Chef Mickey’s is a buffet, and for breakfast, it features all the standard breakfast buffet foods. Additionally there is a station where you can decorate your Mickey waffles with whipped cream, chocolate chips, and all the other toppings that make it more dessert than breakfast! Gluten free Mickey waffles are also available. At Chef Mickey’s there are also times that you’re asked to wave your napkin over your head, so that adds to the fun. Lunch and Dinner feature standard buffet options, including a make your own ice cream sundae bar. Chef Mickey’s for breakfast is great before a day at Magic Kingdom or Epcot, as you can just hop on the monorail that runs through the lobby!
Garden Grill- Epcot (all meals)
I LOVE Garden Grill. It’s located in The Land at Epcot, and it rotates! You can meet Mickey, Chip, Dale, and Pluto here. Mickey is in his farm attire. Garden grill is another family style restaurant, so you don’t have to leave your table. Garden Grill rotates and gives you views of Living With the Land, making it a really interesting restaurant. Additionally, some of the food that you eat comes from right there in the Epcot greenhouses! This restaurant is smaller than most on property, so I feel like you get more face time with the characters, I’ve even had Chip try to kidnap me here and Mickey sat in my lap one time! Reservations are not too tricky to get, as I’ve even gotten same day dinner reservations here.
Tusker House- Animal Kingdom (all meals)
Tusker House is in the Africa section of Animal Kingdom. You can meet Mickey, Donald, Daisy, and Goofy in their Safari attire here. Tusker House is a buffet with more adventurous food than the other buffets on this list for lunch and dinner. The kids section of the buffet has standard kid’s food like Mac & Cheese, mashed potatoes, and corn dogs. The rest of the buffet has meats like chicken curry, Basmati rice, chicken, salmon, and many other African inspired dishes. I love this buffet because the food options are different from the other buffets around property.
Hollywood and Vine- Hollywood Studios (Lunch/Dinner only)
Hollywood and Vine features Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy, and Goofy in their seasonal attire. Depending on when you go, they could be in their Christmas best, Halloween costumes, Spring outfits, or their Summer outfits. It is a buffet with standard options for lunch and dinner. We went during Christmas and the outfits were so cute, Goofy was even in a Santa suit!
NEW! Topolino’s Terrace- Disney’s Riviera Resort (Breakfast only)
Topolino’s Terrace is located in the newly built Riviera Resort. You can meet Mickey, Minnie, Donald, and Daisy here in their artist inspired outfits. I haven’t dined here yet but according to the menu they offer pastries with every entree, and entrees such as Spiced Sausage Hash, Smoked Salmon, Cream Cheese Waffle, and Quiche Gruyère. I have heard from friends that breakfast is great here.
Around the Parks: Meet and Greets
Animal Kingdom
At Animal Kingdom you can meet Mickey and Minnie in their safari outfits (different from his outfit at Tusker House!) at Adventurers Outpost on Discovery Island (right before you cross the bridge to Asia).
Epcot
Mickey meets at the Epcot Character Spot, located near the Land Pavilion. As Epcot is under construction currently, his location may change. He is in his standard tuxedo with a yellow bow tie and red pants at this location.
Hollywood Studios
At Hollywood Studios, you can meet Mickey and Minnie Starring in Red Carpet Dreams right across from ABC Commissary. Mickey is in his Sorcerer outfit at this location.
Magic Kingdom
At Magic Kingdom, Mickey is at Town Square Theater, located to the right as soon as you walk under the train station. Tinkerbell meets in that location as well, but there are different queue lines for each character. Mickey is in his magician outfit here and he might perform a magic trick for you if you’re lucky!
Around the Parks: Parades and Nighttime Spectaculars
Magic Kingdom: Festival of Fantasy Parade
Mickey and Minnie are in the end float of the Festival of Fantasy Parade. He is atop his hot air balloon and waves down at his adoring fans!
Hollywood Studios: Fantasmic!
Mickey is the star of the show as you are experiencing his dream as good and evil battle it out. This nighttime spectacular features fire and fountains, and portions may be scary for young children.
There are many options for places to meet Mickey at Walt Disney World, hopefully you can pick the options that work best for you and your family!
